Black and White. Think elevated, chic, and celebration-ready. This night is part literary launch, part birthday soirée — navy suits, cocktail dresses, and gowns are all welcome. Come dressed in something that makes you feel confident, polished, and powerful.

Yes — there will be light snacks and appetizers throughout the evening, plus one complimentary drink on arrival. Additional drinks can be purchased at the bar. And of course, we’ll be celebrating with cake!

Yes — the venue allows children, and they are welcome to join us. Marianne’s own children will be there too, so you’re in good company. We simply ask that little ones are supervised throughout the evening, as the event includes moments of speaking, celebration, and mingling.

Doors open at 5pm The formal program will begin at 6pm, so we recommend arriving a little earlier to settle in and mingle.

Your presence is truly the greatest gift.Marianne has kindly asked for no personal presents.
Instead, if you feel called to give, she would love guests to support her chosen charity Finnish Women’s Bank, which is dedicated to empowering women in developing countries through work and entrepreneurship, enabling financial independence and the freedom to shape their own lives and sustainable futures.

Yes. Signed copies of Breakthrough will be available on the night.

Please note that the venue does not offer free parking. There are a few regular street parking spots on Helenankatu, but they are rarely available. The nearest parking garage is Europark P-Kluuvi, and you can also usually find street parking in Kruununhaka, just past Ritarihuoneenpuistikko.
We highly recommend using public transportation. There is a tram stop directly in front of the venue (Trams 4 & 5), and the venue is only a 5-minute walk from the Helsingin Yliopisto metro station.

Yes. This is a milestone celebration, and we’ll have photographers capturing the evening. If you prefer not to be photographed, let a team member know when you arrive.
